The space elevator was filled with laughter and shouting, sometimes feeling like the crowded arena at the Extreme Sports Space Stadium. 'How appropriate,' thought the aeronautic acrobatics coach, 'I finally have a team ready to compete in the Space Olympics. While not roomy, the elevator's windows allowed for spectacular views of Earth. The gregarious group of acrobats were making all the noise, but four team members sat dispersed around the elevator in their bubble windows, surrounded on three sides by nothing but space. As they anticipated arrival on the platform, the room quieted, no one sure of what it would feel like no longer be anchored to Earth.
Then the doors opened. Zortox, gleeful as usual, said 'this is frackin great.'
